Hawaii Day 3 Pt. 3 Luau

After the renewal ceremony, we had just enough time to change clothes ad head down to the Luau Garden for our traditional Hawaiian Luau Experience. Rissa and I were taking full advantage of all the cool crafts that had for us to partake in. Here we are making a Bracelet out of the Lei Flowers. Don't judge me and Rissa cause we the oldest ones in this little Kumbaya Circle.

"Big Pimpin" with Ms. Marilyn, Ms. Lisa and Nique at the Luau. When we entered the Luau they provided everyone with either Rum Punch or Fruit Punch.
Side Note: When shopping for clothes, make sure you review any words or sayings on your clothing. Dad walked around all night with this shirt on that read "Big Pimpin" and he had no idea. Lol

Mom, Ms. Marilyn, and Ms. Lisa looking good at the Luau.

The Blowing of the Seashells to signify that it is time to remove the pig from the pit.

Cousin Jerry and his homeboys about to reveal the pig they cooked for the Luau. In Hawaii the men do ALL the cooking. They said, the only job the women have in Hawaii is to eat their food. These three had everyone woman at the Luau contemplating moving to Hawaii.

Here comes our diner.

There it is, a nice, roasted pig for dinner. So nice of them to bring home the BACON!

Time to eat our first traditional meal of the trip. Bring it on.

First Course: Pineapple, Tomatoes with finely chopped Raw Salmon, Seaweed, and a mixture of  sweet cucumbers and pickles. The pineapple was amazingly sweet, and the tomatoes and salmon were good also. They were my favorite. Had to try everything at least once.

Main Course: Baked Chicken, Steak, Pork, Mahi Mahi, Fried Banana, Sweet Potato, and Rice. I enjoyed all the different flavors of meat. It was different, but I absolutely loved the sweet potato.

Dessert: Coconut Cake and a Jello Like Coconut Milk

During dinner, we were entertained by the young performers.

Every one of the performers were having a good time and making sure we were entertained while eating.

Here we are getting a lesson from Cousin Jerry on how to correctly open a coconut.

Now for the start of the show, my man right here is about to show us just how quick he can start a fire with using only 2 pieces of wood and the husk of the coconut shell.

1 Hour Later...

Finally!!! Lol, it took him a little minute, but we got fire people.

Once the fire was lit, the other performers proceeded to the stage.

They love blowing through the seashells. It made a really awesome sound and got everyone's attention.

Here come the ladies with the fire in their coconut shells.

This was my favorite performance, the opening number, I was so ready to purchase their soundtrack.

Here is our host for the evening accompanied by the Ladies of Hawaii.

Don't Stop, Get It, Get It!!!

I'm trying to learn how they move their hips so fast without moving the rest of their body.

They had so many wardrobe changes, they need to win an award.

These ladies are talented with this string and ball trick.

They asked for all the married couples in the audience to get up and dance and can y'all believe Lloyd Ray Morris got up and danced. I know I can't believe it, but I have the proof. And he look like he having a good time. Go Dad!

Mr. Melvin and Ms. Angel getting the groove on.

Now it's time for some audience participation...

Rissa came dressed for this part of the show, she is the only black girl on stage in the pink skirt.

Uh, oh. Who is that, being dragged to the stage. Non other than Ms. Marilyn Harris.
